Story

I began metal smithing back in 2010 and it was pretty much love at first sight. I’ve always been a person in search of creative outlets and also very passionate about the outdoors. I grew up in the Catskill Mountain region of Upstate New York. My father was a veterinarian in the area for more than 30 years, frequently treating wildlife that was brought in for intensive care. With an upbringing very close to nature, it’s always manifested itself in my work. Many of the pieces you will find in my shop have natural motifs, from ferns to flowers, leaves, animals and of course- natural stones. That’s what this little business is all about - crafting the beauty of the outdoors into heirloom quality jewelry. After completing my degree in illustration I felt unsure about my niche in the creative world and the job industry, so I decided to spend my 20s traveling and working. After settling on Spain, I’ve happily reconnected with this craft and currently create out of my home studio in Málaga.

Philosophy

I aim to create something unique that will last the test of time. The majority of the stones that are used in my work are ethically sourced. Each piece is mindfully made, each jump ring soldered close and every surface polished with a protective covering of Renaissance wax to prevent tarnish and keep jewelry looking as beautiful as the day it was purchased. Silversmithing and jewelry making is about creating a connection between maker and buyer, a positive one that fosters a love of the outdoors, handmade goods and the nostalgic symbols that bring us some of our fondest memories. I hope that among the collection of items in my store, you find something that connects with you.
