This butterfly pendant features an ethically sourced tanzanite stone and is enameled by hand. Made from silver with a sterling silver chain.
The glass enamel starts as a fine powder and is sifted in layers onto the silver base and fired at high temperatures in a kiln. The lines are then painted with a painting enamel that is also fired in a kiln. Each pendant goes through at least 10 firings to achieve the desired look. Vitreous enamel is not affected by exposure to water or UV light, so the colors will last you for years to come.
All the jump rings are soldered to ensure longevity.
Pendant comes on a 44 cm/ 17 inch chain. Should you prefer a different length, please leave me a note at checkout or let me know via email. I’m happy to make those adjustments free of charge.
